Export from Pixieset
- In Pixieset, download each collection’s photographs.
- Export the collection list as a CSV file. It needs a Collection Name column; the importer also reads the email, download PIN, password, collection URL and event date if they are there.
Arrange one folder
Put everything in one master folder, with one folder per collection. Photographs at the top of a collection’s folder go into Highlights, and each subfolder becomes a section. Folder names are matched to the CSV by the collection’s name or by the end of its Pixieset address.
Run the import
- Choose Import in the top bar (on a phone, Import collections in the ⋯ menu).
- On Pixieset batch, choose the CSV under 01 / Pixieset folder CSV, then the master folder under 02 / Master photo folder. Without a CSV, use Folders: drop one or more collection folders, or choose a folder that holds them, and each becomes its own draft, named after its folder.
- Check the summary. Anything that would fail (no matching CSV row, two folders for one collection, a gallery of that name already published) is listed before a single upload.
- Leave Enable original downloads, Require valid imported download PINs and Enable client favorites on, or turn off what you don’t want.
- Choose Import to start. Stop after current photograph pauses it; run the same import again later and it carries on with the drafts already started.
- When it finishes, choose Download migration report: a spreadsheet with each collection’s photographs uploaded, duplicates skipped, failures, and the old Pixieset link beside the new one.
What comes across
- Every collection arrives as a draft, with its title and event date from the CSV, sorted by date taken, and the first photograph as its cover. Nothing is published and no client is emailed.
- A valid password (8 to 128 characters) makes the collection private with that password; a 4-digit download PIN is kept.
- Photographs already in a collection are recognized and skipped, so running an import twice only adds what is missing.
- Up to 3,000 photographs, 50 GB and 40 sections per collection, and 50 MB per photograph.
- Videos, favorites, client lists, expiry dates, designs and store settings are not imported.
