Custom domains

Show your client site at an address of your own, such as gallery.yourstudio.com, instead of yourstudio.alitagallery.com.

Before you start

  • A custom domain comes with the Basic, Plus, Pro and Studio plans. If the Custom domain card on the Studio page says custom domains aren’t switched on yet, they aren’t available in Alita Gallery for now.
  • It must be a subdomain of a domain you own (gallery.yourstudio.com), not the bare domain itself.

Add your domain

  1. On the Studio page, under Custom domain, type the Address and choose Add domain.
  2. At your domain’s DNS provider, add the two records shown: a CNAME for the address and a TXT record that proves it’s yours. If the provider adds your domain to names itself, type only the first part.
  3. On Cloudflare DNS, set the CNAME to DNS only (the gray cloud).
  4. Wait while it moves from Waiting for DNS to Issuing certificate to Live. Check again checks now.

Once it’s live, you can delete the TXT record.

Good to know

  • Your alitagallery.com address keeps working.
  • Quotes, invoices, contracts, bookings, guides and event galleries keep their alitagallery.com links.
  • If your plan stops including a domain, clients are sent to your alitagallery.com address until it does again. Nothing is deleted.
  • Remove domain stops using it; then delete the records at your DNS provider.
