Billing and plans

Every studio starts with a 45-day free trial. Choose a paid plan whenever you’re ready, or carry on with the Free plan after it.

The free trial

  • The trial lasts 45 days, with up to 10 GB of photographs. A few things, such as custom domains and sending campaign emails, start on paid plans.
  • The ⋯ menu shows the days left, and you are emailed as the end comes close.
  • Plan prices and what each includes are on the Pricing page.
  • Choosing a paid plan during the trial ends it: every paid plan has more storage than the trial, so it starts, and is charged, that day.

Choose or change a plan

  1. Open Plan in the ⋯ menu (it shows the days left during the trial).
  2. Pick Monthly or Yearly and choose a plan. Checkout is with Stripe: the plan starts and is charged today, the day you complete it, and its storage applies straight away.
  3. To change plan later, choose Switch to another plan: an upgrade is charged the difference now, and a downgrade is credited to your next invoice. A smaller plan needs your photographs to fit in its storage first.
  4. Manage billing and invoices opens Stripe, where you change your card, see invoices, add a tax ID or cancel at the end of the period.

Founder prices: the first paid plan you choose keeps its founder price while you stay on it, including switching between monthly and yearly. Choosing another plan, or canceling, ends it.

Storage

  • Only your original files count. Photographs in Trash count until they are deleted for good, and guests’ photos in your event galleries count too.
  • Plus, Pro and Studio have a 5% buffer above their storage, so a big upload doesn’t stop at the last photograph. The trial, Free and Basic stop at exactly their storage.
  • You get a notice at 80%, 95% and 100% full.

When a trial or plan ends

If your photographs fit in the Free plan’s 5 GB, your studio moves to Free and nothing changes for clients. If they don’t, client galleries stay online for 14 days while uploads are paused, then go offline. 44 days after the end, collections and event galleries are deleted, and the studio carries on as Free with its clients, invoices, contracts and settings. You are emailed before each step. Choose a plan, or delete collections and empty Trash until you fit, at any point before then.

On Free and Basic, the Business side keeps up to 3 clients, invoices and contracts; nothing you already have is removed if you move down.
